THE RULE OF THRE3

We are introduced to Adam Daley, a teenage boy whos mother is a cop and father is a pilot. When Adams school is called to go to the gym for an assembly the there is a power outage. After an hour or so Adam realizes that ALL the power is out when the cell phones, personal computers and even digital systems in cars are not working. Luckily his car is an old model 1957 Corvette and it works. He arrives home and leaves to go to the store with his neighbour Herb, using the 403 and see lots of cars on the side of the road but it is clear,to buy chlorine tablets for clean water. They are approached by eight men, all of a sudden and Herb pulls out a gun. The men back off.

The next day, Adam, his mother and Herb scavenge for food. As they approach the mall people are beating each other up and fighting. Captain Daly and Herb pull out their guns to resolve the problem. After this they form a colony to protect each other. The colony is  in their neighbourhood on their street.

One day while in the COLONY Adam hears RPGs. Adam, Herb and Captain Daily run to where the sound came from. ADAM is shocked and sad to see his classmate from highschool dead! Adam knows now he has to stop these people who are using the computer chaos to do awful things.

Adam and his companions make a plane to destroy the enemy and the enemy has a cargo of stolen goods from the mini-mall and the stores. Adam and his companions can destroy the cargo if they find the location. They use the Cessna plane to scout the location of the cargo. They destroy the cargo an Herb says " We are Safe for now".

THEME 1

The authors intent for the lessons or theme of this novel are that when an APOCOLYPTIC event happens and there is no government or anything to control people there are two things that can happen. When man is left to his own devices either they can cooperate and work together in peace or fight against each other like savages.

THEME 2

Another theme is that todays society relies too much on electronics and computers. We cant survive without them and that shows in the way that people don't know how to have clean water and they couldn't look up things on google to help them. In the book, people cannot use their cars or phones or anything. Only the creative will survive.
