SUMMARY
In Canada, in a neighbourhood of "Eden Mills' , in Toronto, at Adam Daley's High School the POWER had suddenly shut off. It is a massive power outage. Students soon learn that this is just the beginning. Cell phones are down, the internet is lost and this leads to a national and international crisis which becomes a war of survival in the most catastrophic way. People turn against each other. Will Adam and his companion such as retired government agent, Herb, try to start a settlement and survive? Does Adam realize that his mom, a retired police captain becomes the reason for his survival? Together Adam, Herb and his mom figure out a way to survive this COMPUTER CHAOS!

CHARACTERS
ADAM DALEY
A 16 year old teenage boy who lives in fictional, Eden Mills, Canada and attends high school. Instead of trying out for the football team this year he took flying lessons. His dad is a pilot. Adam wants to become a pilot. His mother is a cop. He has 2 siblings who are twins and named Rachel and Danny. He is resourceful and intelligent who makes friends easily and well. Ultimately he survives the Apocalypse.
TODD
Adams friend. He is the same age as Adam and on the school foot ball team. Todd is smart and likes to chat to his friends. Luckily Todd's car is an older Corvette and can be driven since it is not run by computers.
HERB CAMPBELL
Adams neighbour who is a retired Government agent and around 70 years old. He is accurate with a hunting rifle, smart and resourceful. Herb has good ideas and creates great plans. He is always thinking on his feet and teaches Adam his survival tips. He keeps watch over the neighbourhood and is one of the leaders.
OFFICER DALEY
Adams mother. She is a cop. Officer Daley is very intelligent in making strategic survival plans. She is one of the leaders. She has a great shot which means she is good with a gun.

Kitai is similar to Adam Daley in The Rule of Three as he stars in an apocalypse movie and helps his father to survive as Adam helps his mother and family and friends to survive after the computers all die out. Kitai is a teenager and so is Adam.
Adam with the help of his friends finishes the ultralight glider plane to survive and travel, Kitai battled the hostile conditions of a dangerous "earth" planet to get the rescue beacon. Both were teenage boys who didn't give up.

General Raige lands on former earth with his son. His character is very similar to Herb Campbell's in "Rule of Three3" because both worked for the government, Herb was a secret agent and Cypher was a General. Both know have experience on how to access a combat situation, how to make plans and know how to survive without normal things like water, computers and other people. General Cypher Raige passed on his knowledge to his son who used it. Herb was not dying like the General but was more in the action and teachings Adam everything he knows about survival such as using chlorine tablets to purify water and to think one step ahead.

Detective Flynn is very similar to Officer Daily. Both are mothers and both are police officers who are good with their shot and know how to handle violent and chaotic situations. Detective Flynn battles the streets of Vancouver and is trying to catch a murderer that watches her every move. Officer Daley has to serve and protect without a running police force in Eden Mills where the odds are unknown.
LOCATION: FICTIONAL "EDEN MILLS" IN TORONTO, NEIGHBOURHOOD
The neighbourhood is where Adam, his mother, Herb and the companions who join forces to help one another during this computer crisis. They make a type of colony to survive this "Apocalypse" and make refuge. The neighbourhood is where the group of survivors make decisions on what to do to help their group. The neighbourhood is a normal suburban Toronto neighbourhood with bungalows and 2 storey homes where families, singles and normal people live, just like lots of people live in the G.T.A.
The City of Toronto is where Adam and his friends are mainly located in. The City is no more. Herb, Adams neighbour thinks help from the military will arrive but they do not come.
HIGHWAY 403 is the main way of fast transportation. There is NO other way for transportation because the streets are clogged with vehicles that cannot operate because of computer chaos. Sometimes the only way out is the 403 since all the roads are flooded with cars.
CONFLICT
MAN vs. CIRCUMSTANCE OR MAN vs COMPUTERS
All the people on the earth are in conflict with the ruin of all things electrical and internet. All computers are NOT working, there is a power outage. Even things that are not plugged in such as cars, that have computer programs in them do not work. This is an apocalypse of the 2000s. Adam, his mother, Herb, Officer Brett and the others are hoping that the power will return, that the computers will work, that they can get news on the television but they are doomed to fail because it is all gone. Herb has a feeling and loads up on supplies.
MAN vs.MAN
The companions of Adams attack the cargo of the men and women who killed Adam's classmate and many more people, covered all over the street. The group faces a challenge of attacking the bad guys! They succeed using the plane to scout the location and gave orders from the plan by radio for attacks.
GOOD vs EVIL
Adam and his mother and Herb are attacked at a mall while they are scavenging for food from the mall. Everyone is in a panic and a group of people formed a mob and were hitting and trampling over each other and attacked Adam, Adams mom and Herb. Herb and Adams mom had guns and had to use them to scare the mob. They were just showing the guns to keep the mob at bay. People were not respecting each other.
MAN vs. SOCIETY
At the Petersons farm people were coming by and stealing the food, animals, wreaking stuff but the Petersons were friends of the Daly's and Herb. They wanted to feed people and grow food for the people.
Some people react during a chaotic crisis like savage animals with no respect but the Dalys and their companions choose to think of the future and plan and not be mean. Society was changing.
When Adam and Herb ruin the cargo of their enemy who were killing and looting with the Cessna as a scout, Herb says something strong. On page 405 Herb says " We are safe, for now"
